Forbes Field Pittsburgh Steelers Pirates Map Cufflinks
This is my tribute to the die hard Steelers and Pirates fan.
Forbes Field was in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1909 to 1971. It was the third home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the first home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The stadium also served as the home football field for the University of Pittsburgh Pitt Panthers from 1909 to 1924. The stadium was named after British general John Forbes who fought in the French and Indian War, and named the city in 1758.
I handcrafted these cufflinks using vintage portions of a Pittsburgh map. One cufflink contains Forbes Field and surrounding area. The other cufflink contains the text Pittsburgh and a few streets.
The maps were carefully cut and placed within chrome cufflinks. A clear plastic film protect the maps.
The cufflinks will be shipped in a velvet cufflink box. Ideal for gift giving.
