The Indian Head one-cent coin, or Indian Head penny, was made in the US from 1859 to 1909. It was so popular that the coin was hoarded after the Civil War, forcing some Northern cities to issue private tokens.

They measure approx 18mm - and have been secured to gold-plate cufflink posts.
