These rare vintage tokens were used in St Louis, Missouri just after the turn of the century. The United Railways Co consolidated all of the independent trains in 1907 and helped build out of the suburbs by offering transport in, and out, of the city.

The token feature a cut-out U where the silver backing post shines through. The token reads United Railways Co. of St. Louis - 1919. The tokens have been lightly polished. They measure approx 16mm.
